Within 2013 – 2014 Fiscal Year, Skylabs have advanced in many ways and importantly have being a crucial point in assisting other departments in the Company, particularly for processing plant QAQC monitoring, geology and mining operations and the research and development of various projects. Within one year, Skylabs have increased capacity for gold and cyanide assaying including basic laboratory tests to cater not only for the main company but also for member companies in the project area. As of January 2015, Skylabs is capable of processing more than 70 samples from the processing plant, more than 100 samples from Geology operations and together with Cyanide and basic tests, amounts to 200 samples per day. To perform such capacity, Skylabs team have increased to 15, working in 2 shifts per day. Procurement of additional equipments have provided primary equipments for backup support, from basic glassware to an additional Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) in an air-conditioned dust-free room. Skylabs have also expanded its area to incorporate a new sample storage facility currently housing important samples such as JORC. 2014 have also seen the attainment of ISO 9001:2008 and this have paved the way for stricter records and procedures. Additionally, further certifications such as ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 are currently being assessed tentative to be completed by mid 2015. With a bright prospects for the company, it is no wonder that it is an exciting period for Skylabs with many plans in the near future.
